Environmental Education is one of the main strategies used by GEMARS so that the results of research and actions carried out are shared with society as a whole.
With this idea in mind, we have prepared some educational materials that aim to value our marine and coastal fauna and, at the same time, seek to address different issues related to the conservation of these species.
Check out some of our educational materials below:
Sea of Play
In the book Mar de Brincar, we invite everyone to learn a little more about the marine and coastal biodiversity of southern Brazil. The book is a meeting between sciences, letters and arts, which reveals some of the incredible animals that inhabit our beaches and mares.
Access BookAnimalário
Animalário is a digital game that is part of the book Mar de Brincar. Through the game, it is possible to mix different animals from each of the letters of the alphabet, creating fantastic hybrid animals, which are baptized with the names resulting from the mixture of syllables.
Play NowPiru-Piru Booklet
The piru-piru booklet was created with the idea of publicizing this species as a symbol of the coastal zone of southern Brazil. The material is aimed especially at school-age children and can be used as an auxiliary resource in classrooms.
